SM Studios are proud to partner and work with some of the most elite footballing and charitable organisations.
SM have secured a partnership with FIFPRO for the use of official player IP within the game that adds a great level of authenticity to the Soccer Manager series.
FIFPRO is the global union of professional football players with nearly 70 affiliated player associations worldwide. FIFPRO Commercial Enterprises BV brings together agreements from each participating country to offer the world’s most comprehensive package of active football players for use, on a collective basis, in the digital entertainment industry. This includes access to tens of thousands of real-world football players, their names, image and likeness, in both club and national team environments.
In September 2020 SM started their partnership with the DFL and the Soccer Manager series acquired the rights to the official Bundesliga license, introducing official clubs, player images and kits to the Soccer Manager 2021 edition, creating an even more immersive and realistic user experience.
SM are thrilled to have recently partnered up with Inter, one of the most successful clubs in world football for Soccer Manager 2022. This enables the global use of Inter’s club, manager and player IP. This will provide users an authentic management experience of managing the iconic Serie A champions.
SM and Bayer Leverkusen is another new partnership that we are very excited about. Bayer Leverkusen is one of the most established clubs in the Bundesliga and is an International football brand. Soccer Manager 2022 will include all the official club and player IP for global use where users can take over as manager and compete in top level football.
The SPFL is one of SM’s newest partnerships, the Soccer Manager 2022 iteration which is due to launch this October will include the official SPFL license, providing users the opportunity to experience managing some of the oldest and historic football clubs. Players will be able to take over as manager of the official clubs containing real club logos and players and will be able to gain first hand experience what it is like to manage one of the most iconic derbies in the world, the ‘Old Firm’ – Celtic vs Rangers.
The partnership between SM and Goal was established in October 2019. Goal is the world’s number one digital destination with more than 100m fans around the world engaging in their content each month. Goal is featured in the SM series by providing in-game media messages, users can select them to be their shirt sponsors for their club and they are also advertised on the pitchside banners within the match engine giving users a realistic experience.
Soccer Manager and Special effect have been partners since March 2020. SpecialEffect is a UK charity that uses specialist video game technology to enhance the quality of life of people of all ages who have severe physical challenges, whether as a result of a disability, traumatic injury or debilitating illness. Special Effects branding features on shirt sponsors and pitchside advertising inside the Soccer Manager series.
SM’s and Xaya’s partnership began in 2018 when the two companies started development on a new game called Soccer Manager Elite using Xaya blockchain platform. Soccer Manager Elite is currently in Beta, it is a multiplayer-driven football management game and presents a new era for gaming and soccer management simulations.
